Hailing from Tanzania, Kauzeni Lyamba stands as a multifaceted force in the
realm of music. A composer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, music educator,
producer, and event organizer, Kauzeni's talents encompass a spectrum of
creative endeavours.

On stage, Kauzeni captivates audiences with his dynamic performances,
enriched by his extensive experience in cross-cultural collaborations. Armed
with proficiency in flute, saxophone, percussion, and vocals, he weaves a
tapestry of sound that transcends borders and cultures.

Graduating from the Bagamoyo College of Arts (TASUBA) in 2009 marked the
inception of Kauzeni's illustrious career. Since then, he has assumed roles as a
performer, band leader, educator, and cultural organizer. His journey has seen
him collaborate with artists across the USA, Europe, and Asia, while his tenure
with the Umoja Cultural Flying Carpets speaks volumes of his commitment to
cultural exchange and expression.

In 2017, Kauzeni was selected to participate in the Music Action Lab 2 in San
Francisco, California, a prestigious leadership training program aimed at
empowering musicians worldwide to effect positive social change through
music.

Among his accolades, Kauzeni was recognized as the Best Unique Artist of the
Year 2010 by Music Crossroads International, earning him a European tour. He
has proudly represented Tanzania on esteemed international platforms,
including Expo Zaragoza in Spain and the Forde Folk Music Festival in Sweden.

Presently, Kauzeni graces stages across Tanzania, Eastern, and Southern Africa
with his band, showcasing his distinctive blend of Swahili Fusion Music.
Additionally, he frequently lends his talents as a session musician to both
Tanzanian and international acts.

Rooted in his cultural heritage, Kauzeni draws inspiration from luminaries such
as Tatu Nane (Tanzania), Youssou N'Dour (Senegal), and Moreira Chonguica
(Mozambique), shaping his artistic vision and musical identity. With each
performance, Kauzeni Lyamba continues to mesmerize audiences, transcending
boundaries and spreading the vibrant rhythms of Tanzania to the world stage.
